This policy explains what information Hickory Lane Publishing & Recording (“Hickory Lane”, “we”) collects through hlrstudio.ca and what we do with it. Hickory Lane is based in Oliver, British Columbia, Canada.
What we collect
We only collect what you choose to send us through the contact form:
- your name and email address,
- your phone number, if you give it,
- the service you’re interested in, if you choose one, and
- your message.
When you send the form, our server also records your IP address with the message to help block spam.
The site has no user accounts, no advertising, and no analytics or tracking cookies. If you switch between the light and dark theme, your choice is saved in your own browser so the site remembers it; it is never sent to us.
How we use it
We use the information you send only to reply to your inquiry and to discuss, quote, and deliver the work you ask about. We don’t sell it, rent it, or add you to a mailing list.
Where it goes
- Your message is delivered as an email to the studio’s Gmail account (hlrpublishing@gmail.com), using Google’s Gmail service. The website can only send email; it can’t read the studio’s inbox.
- The website is hosted by Cloudflare. If an inquiry can’t be delivered, a copy is kept in Cloudflare’s storage for up to 180 days so it isn’t lost, and is then deleted automatically.
- The site loads its fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google when you visit.
Google and Cloudflare may store data on servers outside Canada, including in the United States.
How long we keep it
We keep inquiry emails for as long as they’re useful for our working relationship with you or our business records. You can ask us to delete them at any time.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct, or delete the information you’ve sent us. Email hlrpublishing@gmail.com or call 250-552-6208, and we’ll respond within 30 days.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update it on this page and change the date at the top.
